Online casinos have numerous types of bonuses they give to reward new players for joining. That could mean a no deposit bonus, a one-time deposit bonus or a bonus pack. But for you to be able to make an informed choice as to what type of offer will agree with you, you need to know more about all of them. So, let’s see what are the good and the not-so-good characteristics of the two deposit bonus types.
I’ll start with the deposit bonus offer, about which I am sure you know a thing or two. This is a one-time bonus which is usually directly connected to the amount that you put in. For example, if you have a 200% bonus of up to £600, that means that you will need to deposit over £300 or just that amount to be able to profit from the offer to the fullest. But imagine a bonus of up to £2,000. As appealing as it may seem, you will need a really big initial deposit, to be able to claim all the bonus amount at once. Always pay attention to the match percentage of the offer, not just the amount. Because if you compare only the amount, you might get tricked into taking a highly unprofitable deal.
Let me give you an example. If you compare the two bonuses that I mentioned in the previous paragraph, you will think that £2,000 is a lot better than £600 and you wouldn’t be too far off from the truth. But if I tell you that the smaller bonus is better, then it is probably due to the match percentage of the offers. You see, one bonus is 200% up to £600, which means you will get double your deposit as bonus, while the second one is 50% up to £2,000 and you know what that means, right? Yes, an initial deposit of £4,000, to get only half of that amount as bonus.
So, my friends, keep your eyes open and choose carefully, because as I mentioned in the previous 2 lesson, there are also wagering requirements and bonus playthrough that you need to comply with. And somehow having to wager £6,000 around 20 – 30 times in only one month doesn’t seem plausible to me.
This is just about all you need to know about the one-time deposit bonus and how to choose the best one for you. Our next lesson will cover the other type of bonus – a bonus pack or a string or reload bonuses and see what makes it better or worse than a one-time bonus. Until then, have fun and stay safe.
